24-25 July 2025
We had a couple of fun days in the La Trobe Valley with the lovely students at Churchill Primary School. Our first day was spent learning about cultural heritage, with lots of great storytelling and a game of Marngrook. We also spent National Schools Tree Planting Day at Gaskin Park, working with La Trobe City Council’s bushland team, teachers, parents and more than 60 students to plant a new area of wildlife habitat. The weather stayed cold but everyone kept warm with lots of digging, planting and watering!
A big thanks to La Trobe City Council for kindly funding our Planting the Seed program. We’d also like to thank our project partners at Ecology and Restoration Australia.
