What we expect from all staff and volunteers
Always
  • Treat children with respect, kindness and fairness
  • Listen to children and value their input
  • Use age‑appropriate, inclusive communication
  • Maintain professional boundaries
  • Work in open, observable environments
  • Follow reporting procedures for concerns or disclosures
  • Complete required child safety training
  • Honour cultural identity and connection to Country
Never:
  • Engage in any form of abuse, harm or exploitation
  • Develop overly personal or secretive relationships
  • Use intimidation, punishment or degrading language
  • Communicate privately with children outside approved channels
  • Be alone with a child without authorisation and safeguards
  • Share photos or personal information without consent
  • Give gifts or personal contact details
  • Ignore or fail to report concerns
Online conduct

All staff and volunteers must:

  • Use only approved communication channels
  • Keep interactions transparent and professional
  • Protect children’s privacy and personal information
  • Avoid private messaging or social media contact
Reporting

All staff and volunteers are required to:

  • Report concerns, suspicions or disclosures immediately
  • Follow Eco Warriors Australia’s reporting procedures
  • Contact authorities where required
  • Support children sensitively and respectfully
Acknowledgement

All staff, volunteers and representatives of Eco Warriors Australia must read, understand and agree to this Code of Conduct before engaging in any Eco Warriors Australia activities.
